Jonathan had been to Mrs M’s the week before and helped on the mission in her back garden, and he had returned (with me in place of Arba) to get busy on the front garden instead. The task today was to trim Mrs M’s bush, which was overgrown, and encroaching on her neighbours and onto the street in front.

The tools were out and ready, and so were the secateurs, and we got chopping away. The Bush was reaching ten foot in some places, and Mrs M was keen for it to be below the front wall, which was chest height. There was a good five or so feet worth of bush to push, but we managed to chop and trim and preen the beast. Forty five minutes later, we wood back and admired our hard work.

The next part was the tidying up. We had branched out and covered half of Fulham in leaves and twigs and bush cuttings. We bushed on, leafting and bagging it up into the heavy duty refuse sacks. Good leaf, that was a job - it took twice as long to tidy up as it did to get the bush trimmed! Ten bags filled, and sweet releaf was soon to come, as Mrs M wood back and admired our treemendous hard work. There ain’t nothing that we plant do!
