Bed Task & Beyond

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.

Today two runners popped to help Mrs J after a day of working from home.

Mrs J is in hospital, and almost ready to come home. One of the steps required for this to happen was for her old wooden double bed to be moved out of the bedroom, ready for a hospital bed to be delivered - which would enable Mrs J to live more safely and comfortably.

On arriving, the team member who provided access showed us that the plan described would be impossible - the bed was too large, and the room through which it was supposed to be taken to the back garden was too cramped for this to work. We agreed that we would take it to the front patio instead. As we tried doing this, we realised some disassembly would be required, but soon after we took the ends off the bed it was out and ready for council collection.

All was done, and Mrs J is one step closer to coming home from hospital. Mission accomplished!
