Eight runners ran 2km and met another two runners at the task, gardening at Cecil Sharp House.

We were met by Susannah, who explained the various bits of tidying up, sweeping and watering she wanted done and instructed us to help ourselves to plums from the tree and windfall apples as we went along.

After 45 minutes, the garden was looking much neater and our tummies much fuller. Susannah was grateful for the help and thanked us by giving us some of the rosemary, basil and bay leaves she had been growing.

We set off to run back to the Living Centre and a few of us went for a drink afterwards. It was lovely to see you all - thanks for coming and well done on all your hard work with the garden.

Special thanks to John for being “front marker” on the run there!
