Answering The Call : BG Food Bank

1 GoodGymer made their way to help the Bethnal Green Food Bank in Tower Hamlets.

... so following coordinates and trying to figure out exact location is always easiest with the aid of local knowledge, thankyou that man..🙂 After a few introductions I was soon met by Andy(armed with his Bridge Board), who warmly welcomed me then directed me to another member of the team who expertly walked me through the process. For someone whome has never experienced a food bank before I must admitt to be taken aback by the scale and organisation involved. So after no time at all we were all fully engaged in picking orders and delivering them to welcoming faces. The time quickly passed with me Now in Full GoodGym promotional mode. As it dawned to me, that the four us were all first time newbies on our first experience of a foodbank. I was given a New task of showing another volunteer how the system works and taking them through the process with I must say they picked up very quickly indeed. After a short stint in the store packing away pre-sorted items it was time to sayAu revoir to the team... Ramon
