13 Super heroes turned up on the wettest....windiest.....coldest night of the year!!! 13!!!!!

It was our first time meeting at our wonderful new meet up location. The Marsham Court hotel, high up on the East Cliff just off Bournemouth Pier....not the best evening to admire the surroundings, but on a nicer evening you can overlook the the beach and the pier....and probably not get blown away by the wind!

The idea was to do a leaflet drop....but with conditions being near arctic, running around with paper in our hands didn't seem like the wisest thing to do. Having full faith in the iPhone weather app, we decided to have an alternative in place....just in case...you know, the app got it right for once.....and it was right.... The lovely Jane at St Peter's Church was only too happy to have us come and clean and polish the inside of the beautiful church....and despite the gang being super disappointed about not being stuck out in the rain all evening, they eventually warmed to the idea of the church.

We set off on a little detour, with only a drizzle and some gail force winds to contend with....by the time we had run 10 minutes the weather turned to gail force winds and a torrential downpour...although Amber wanted to keep on going in the rain to make sure she got her hair fully wet, we pulled into the nearest overhang of a department store to play 1v1 rock paper, scissors....whilst I ran to the church to see if Jane was ready for us....

it turned out Jane found the gang looking like drowned rats and brought them over to the church to meet me instead and let us in to find shelter from the rain.

Shaking ourselves off we soon got down to some serious cleaning and posing and in record time the place was looking spotless again, ready for the community to use and enjoy.

Laurie managed to look "glowing" in our artistic circle shot, obviously so angelic that she couldn't hide her halo!

With time creeping up on us we had to say goodbye and head outside....hoping that the rain had stopped and apparently our good deed was noticed by a higher power...clearing the way for our run back to the Hotel.

We gathered to talk about our Christmas Do this year and to have a drink at our very own private bar. Fredrika used her I.T. skills to set up a poll on the Messenger chat. We are looking at Friday and Saturday's in December. The idea is to gather at my place, bring a plate of food and drinks, devour them here and then eventually head into town for a boogie. If you're not on Facebook and would like to come please let me know via email and I'll add your vote to the list. All Friday and Saturday's in December except Friday 20th.....and the last date being Saturday 21st.

Next week we are doing the flyer drop we missed out on this week....pray for better weather people!!!

Well done everyone!! Amazing that so many of you made the effort to come on such a crazy night!!
