Southwark

Mission

Almost the wrong prescription... That would have been a bitter pill to swallow...

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

Straight after work, I ran from home, pass Peckham Rye Common, down Peckham High Street and weaver through the Surrey Canal path to connect to the backside of Asda Old Kent Road. I was here to collect Ms. E's prescription. Of course, there was a queue to get the all essential drugs.

Once I arrived to be served, there was a confusion as the name on the email did not come through on their system. After several attempts, I decided to call Ms. E and she clarified that her last name was different from the email. The pharmacist took my phone to talk to her and she instantly recognised her. So, she passed over her medicine and off I went.

I realised that Ms. E's place was only a minute run away, so I casually walked to her flat and handed over her medicine, which she was so grateful for. 😊
