A weedy hot task

Miss C showed me into the garden which is on two levels and explained that she can no longer get to the higher level to weed it. Some of them were 5 or 6 foot high and we’re blocking her view.

As I set to work I realised that the garden was a sun trap, it was a very hot day and I had not brought a hat so I tied a cotton bag to my head and carried on, looking silly but feeling more protected. I made sure to give Miss C’s neighbours a smile and a wave so they might be less concerned by the stranger with a bag on her head in the garden!

Time whizzed by and gone before I knew it but I’d managed to pull a lot of weeds and restore some of the view across the garden. Miss C was extremely grateful.
