This morning's mission was to "get rid of anything green" for Mr M and his daughter, so after renouncing recycling and vowing to drive everywhere from now on, we got started.

Trusty garden forks and a spade helped to loosen the soil, and a couple of hours and a lot of persistence got the vast majority of the weeds out. When the sun came out, as did the tea and biscuits from our host. After a quick break and a catch-up concerning Christmas, the fabulous four sorted out the weed piles and bagged up, with Dave practicing his curling skills and sweeping the path.

Extra duties such as worm protection duty, and bird feeding (not at the same time, thankfully) were carried out diligently by Clo.

Happy New Year everyone!
