Wow, there have obviously been a lot of people enjoying Great Salterns lately. Unfortunately a huge number of them have left it full of litter, I've never seen anything like it!

It bothered me so much during my run that I decided to get the litter picker out and do something about it! Judy also joined me and in 90 minutes we cleared many bags of litter and sorted some recycling. There was so much rubbish on the football pitches that we moved all of it to the bins and it took up a lot of space.

Hopefully we've helped make the place a bit better and also encouraged other users to take their rubbish to the bins. We live in hope!

An extra bin collection has been requested and an email to the councillors has been sent about the amount of nitrous oxide cannisters found on site.
