A different type of social visit. I rang Mrs. B an hour before my scheduled visit as she had requested (she tends to forget) and almost immediately she started telling me how her day has been and how she, unusually, overslept. It was only after 3-4 minutes into the call did she say she was too tired for a visit from her outing yesterday and if I wouldn't mind speaking on the phone instead. Ofcourse I didn't mind; I promptly put on my Airpods and settled on the couch. We ended up chatting for a good 25 minutes or so. I say "we" but it was really just her telling me about the visit to St. Peter's where she went for a splendid lunch with the help of People to Places.

The way she took time to describe each course and dish, made my mouth water! The sausage roll with onion gravy and fresh garden veggies are still vivid in my mind 😋

She asked if I had been upto something and I mentioned my recent trip to Bournemouth. This took her down Memory Lane and she regaled me with stories of her visits to Bournemouth with her husband and granddaughter. For someone with memory troubles, she sure remembered a lot including the shop with the best fish and chips.

I enjoy visiting/communicating with Mrs. B for the way she speaks - so articulate and so courteous. I thoroughly enjoyed my phone call with her. She was very thankful just for that and I promised I'll come by to see her when she's feeling better. I absolutely intend to!
