A Little Bit of Sparkle

I have been shown around where the food is stored for Hounslow Community Foodbox before commencing my shift and learned what this charitable organisation offers. It provides food and basic necessities for the local and children who are referred by the council or school when they are in need of support.

The shelves within the premises are well organised with tin food, breakfast cereals, baby formula milk powder, fresh vegetables, produce and chill products, all lined up and displayed clearly of the best before dates.

Two volunteers were organising the food parcels and requests from the clients. For those orders that have been made, they are wrapped up nicely in plastic bags ready to be collected or delivered.

Hundreds of people have been benefited from the scheme, thanks for the donations from the local organisations and individuals.

I have the pleasure and honour to put up the Christmas tree and decorated it with tinsel, bubbles, and pretty hanging items, bringing up the festive mood and joy to the clients and volunteers when they come to the premises.

I hope that this little bit of sparkle will cheer the people in need up and bring a bit of warmth to the individual and families!
