Today, 3 fabulous members went back to the allotment at the Wishing Well to do some long overdue weeding, cutting and planting seeds.

Due to lockdown restrictions, we haven't been able to get to the allotment for quite some time. It was wonderful to be back there today - out in the fresh air and enjoying tending to the raised beds and tidying the surrounding area.

Our wonderful members sowed carrot seeds, cut the grass and weeded all the paved area. By the time they'd finished, it was all looking absolutely amazing.

During lockdown, the Wishing Well were able to use some of the produce that we've been growing there. It really is so heartwarming to know that some of the crops have been used in cooking the meals for the elderly and vulnerable. This was exactly our idea when we started the project - that we would be able to give something back to the community.

Thank you so much Karen, Nigel & Maurice for doing such an amazing job today. It really does look tremendous

Here's to more amazing work at the allotment.

It was a good day to give the grass its first cut of the year. We will return soon to do some more gardening. It is obvious that I need my first shearing of 2021 too !!
