Message from Suz about the project
"It’s not for The UP Garden, but a different voluntary community project on the same council estate. Last year I installed pavement street art decals to wayfind from a nearby popular cafe to the underused playground next to The UP Garden. This year I’m enhancing the street art trail with 2 murals. More info and planned murals
Create 2-part mural to
- Brighten a council housing estate
- Make a side alley feel safer
- Reduce anti-social behaviour
- Continue a wayfinding trail to Eric Road playground and sports court [“ERP&SC”], and The UP Garden, to encourage exercise and socialisation.
Due to a delay in gaining permission we only have a short window to prepare the walls and get the murals painted and protected.
The plan for the day is to be painting anti-graffiti coating on playground wall
