Uncovering history in Spital Cemetery

We are back again at Windsor Cemetery (known as Spital Cemetery) to remove ivy from headstones and tidy up the bushes and shrubs. With each visit we are able to uncover more of the history of this place and shine light back onto the names from the past. The aim is to create a gentle balance between encouraging biodiversity in this beautiful green space, whilst maintaining visibility of the memorials and access for mourners and locals alike.

Meet outside the old church in the middle(ish) of the cemetery for our session 1000 - 1130 where we will be joined by local councillor Karen Davies.

Parking is freely available outside Windsor Football Club, Stag Meadows, SL4 3DR. The Windsor Great Park is also right next door if you want to top or tail your task with a run, walk or cycle.

If you have them, please bring your own gardening shears and secateurs and gardening gloves are a must to protect your hands.
