Date and time
11:00 - 12:00The Celebrating Tolworth weekend will be rounded off with some tree planting, as part of London’s biggest ever tree planting event 🌲🌳.
The chosen site has been referred to as “one of Tolworth’s hidden gems”, the Corinthian Casuals Football Club - so let’s check it out!
The London wide event has seen the Mayor of London, in association with The Conservation Volunteers, give away 25,000 trees to community groups, schools and other organisations.
50 saplings will be planted at the Corinthian Casual’s ground (King Georges Field, Queen Mary Close, Hook Rise South, Tolworth, Surrey, KT6 7NA) between 10am and 1pm, to celebrate the club’s importance as a hub of the local community and bolster biodiversity on site.
We will be meeting there at 11am for an hour, but you are welcome to stay for the whole event (or move on to the second tree planting event in Kingston for the afternoon - also listed as a community mission!).
To register for the event please sign up on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/918569345008405/?ti=icl
Don’t forget to wrap up warm and bring gloves if you have them!
How are you getting there?
