The annual Tolkien run is on a Saturday this year! 3 of us went last year and had a great time. You can read about our experience here: https://priestontherun.wordpress.com/2018/10/08/tolkien-run-2018/

The Tolkien run is a lap based race so runners can do any distance they feel comfortable with as long as it fits into the 6 hour time limit. Each lap is about 3.75 miles and as long as you complete 1 lap you can finish and earn your epic medal and goody bag. I’m not exaggerating when I say epic medal as it’s these are biggest medals in my collection!

Tolkien related Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and last year we all won extra chocolate bars for our efforts.

Therrs a rough plan for those coming from Bristol to drive up on Friday evening stay over in Folkestone then head back after the race on Saturday.

More race info and registration can be found here http://www.saxon-shore.com/tolkien_run/
