Regulars Julia, Linda and Ramon were joined today by James, who was on a rare day off and a very welcome last minute sign up from Cedric. We all used active travel arriving either on foot or by bike.

Francis from St Peter’s found us hiding in the memorial garden which was lucky as that was where today’s task was to take place. The plan is to spread some gravel on the paths but years of neglect had meant the paths needed to be dug out a bit first to define the brick edges. James thought it would be easier to dig out the bricks and raise them up but with brick laying being a pretty skilled job none of us could do digging out the paths was the only option. Everyone got stuck in moving the surplus earth round to a flower bed that’s being created in another part of the cemetery. Gold star to Ramon for fashioning a little ramp for the wheel barrows. ⭐️

It was surprising how much got cleared in the hour we were there, we are now starting to see a real difference in that little garden.
