Shift materials at Braywick Heath Nursery

Wednesday night is GoodGym night, and this evening we are heading back to Braywick Heath Nurseries to help them with their ongoing renovation project. Braywick Heath Nurseries sell a lovely range of plants, but unlike most plant nurseries, they nurture people too. They provide employment, training and work experience for people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Start location and parking
We will meet at the task location so we can get cracking straight away. There is free parking on site as well as at the nearby Leisure Centre (charges apply) or at the Nature Centre car park on Hibbert Road (free but 10 minutes walk away).
The task
Possible tasks include everything from shifting debris into a skip and moving building materials, to planting seedlings.
Safe working
Please take care to lift heavy items safely, particularly on uneven ground. Also beware of splinters and other sharp objects such as rusty nails if we are moving debris. Gardening gloves are a must!
The 'Gym' bit
After we've done our task, we'll have a warm up and head off for the 'Gym' bit of our evening. Amy will lead a 3km run/walk with intervals of running and walking. If anyone doesn't want to run at all, then we can find you a buddy for a walk. Likewise, if there are enough people wanting a longer run, then runners could buddy up and tackle the parkrun route. In short, everyone is welcome, and we will tailor the session to make sure everyone gets a workout and no one is left alone.
