9 GoodGymers had a great time picking litter and getting fitter in Cowick Barton Playing Fields this evening!

It felt like the first proper autumn day today and as part of the Great British September Clean our group did yet another litter-pick, this time in Cowick Barton Playing Fields.

In order to get both fit and do good in a safe and socially distanced way, following all current guidelines, we divided our group in two smaller groups with 5 people in each. One group did a litter pick whilst the other ran laps of the park, giving it an extra push with some speed work and stopping for core and leg exercises with regular intervals.

We also had the great pleasure to have Sue who leads Exe Nordic Walking with us this evening and she did some very speedy Nordic walking around the park. So great with so many ways of combining fitness with doing good!

The session went super fast and we were all surprised how dark it was when we finished, or like Lisa would say in her finest Devonshire way:

It was getting rather dimpsy!

Time to get those portable lights out soon....!

Hope you all have a great rest of the week and that Craig has a great time on his holiday to Italy this weekend! Exciting! Take a look here at what else is coming up in our area and I hope to see you soon again!
