Wildlife Trust BCNJoin Jen from TCV (The conservation volunteers) at this session to remove invasive Himalayan Balsam plants from the riverbanks and make space for native species. This will help preserve the precious chalk stream habitat.
The team are meeting in Bramble Close at 10:15 am and will then go to work upstream in the river. If you're arriving later you will either find them in the river or by the bridge having tea or lunch breaks. However much time you're able to contribute will be very much appreciated, but you don't need to stay all day!
The area you'll be working in has a lot of stinging nettles so long trousers and sleeves will be best. If you have wellies or waders do bring them. But wellies are available from Jen also if you don't.
