Preparing the ground for community food growing

This will help us install beautiful new beds which local residents will use to grow their own fruit and vegetables and learn gardening skills supported by ISHA, the housing association and Groundwork

Please help us prepare the ground for new community food growing beds!

We will need to move the boards and earth from the old beds to prepare the ground for new beds and the growing season. Members of the garden group and ecoActive staff will be on site. We will be:

Moving boards from the old veg raised bed ready for new planters to be installed Loosening earth with a spade Shovelling earth/compost into a wheelbarrow Transporting earth/compost into a ton bag, using a barrow Levelling earth ready for new planters Placing boards against the fence
