16 South Londoners chased pavements all the way from Peckham to Surrey Docks Farm. Where soil we did shovel, though it was no trouble, coz over lambs we did coo, oh yeh and of course also swept up the poo.

Spring had definitely sprung for the crew in Peckham this week, with the task of fun-running all the way to Surrey Docks Farm to support with a range of activities, including the absolute heart melting loveliness of hanging with the brand new baby lambs and goats!!! EKKKKKKKKKKK or should I say BAAAAAAAA And no one was more excited that me, having been following their progress on instagram for weeks!

In the warm honey-suckle light of the setting sunset, we breezed through the streets of Southwark towards the river, a 6km course, but to our surprise felt like such a short cruise, with the sights of canary warf and the shard to behold along the way, keeping us occupied and demonstrating the depth of diversity, of this awesome borough.

Coupled with the sight-seeing was a lot of laughter and good chats all the way and as the team began to split in speed groups. Led by the marvellous Michael, the super speedies raced ahead and myself and my 2 pigeons Helena and Beth, brought up the rear with good cheer.

With this perfect sun drenched evening dash, we marvelled at how spring had sprung, in the new tree blossoms and lightness and breeze in the air. It truly did feel like real life 'meditation in motion' as I can't describe the positive energy in the air as we swept through the streets of fair Southwark.

Upon arrival team 1 had wasted no time getting their hands dirty (literally) shovelling and wheeling the mountains of soil required to bed down some for some animal roaming quarters. Team 2, not long behind the speedsters, arrived all smiles and motivation, but before we began there was just enough time for a fab group snap of the perfect sunset river views and sights of London rippling over the water.

After the shutterbug action, it was onto the next live action event - The meeting of the lambs and sweeping up of their abode. But first........people....... The Lambs!!!! Mischievous and heart achingly cute, we petted and cuddled while they chewed on our shoe laces and licked our legs! It was heaven, I can't deny it, pure heaven!

After our joyful animal magic, we did actually get down to some work, sweeping and heaving, wheeling and loading, the team worked tirelessly as the time etched away along with the light. But just before our hang at the farm was over, we had enough time to visit, with our lovely host Gemma, the goats den, to sneak a glimpse of the days old baby goat kids and that was it....... We were absolutely smitten! No more tasking could be achieved after this point as we "cooed" and "aweeeeeeeed" our way to finish time.

Thanking our wonderful host and promising to be back VERY VERY soon, the team once again made splits and half of the fast pack took to the road to run the rest of the route back home and a full 11km for good measure POW POW And with energy all spent (on loving up the lambs), team 2 jogged the shorter route to Chooooo Choooseeeee the train route back. But it wasn't all rest, rest..... NOOOOOO, waiting time was spent getting stuck into some ab-solutely awesome core work, while waiting on the platform! And like a perfectly timed relay, both groups arrived back at our Peckham base within minutes of each other, for stretch and last happy chats, before lock up and home time.

I think it's safe to say, we got carried away, fast miles we did slam, to enjoy the wonder of the lambs!

Cannot wait until next time!!!!!

DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE
