We're only 2 weeks into phase 1 of helping Bristol Churches Winter Night Shelter and already there was a slight groan between us when we arrived and considered what mattress related pun we could come up with that we haven't already used.

This week we all made sure to arrive super early just in case the van was early. Alex brought some cupcakes along in celebration of achieving her 200th GoodGym good deed. The left over cakes were taken with the van to the next venue for the Night Shelter for the volunteers or Night Shelter users to enjoy.

Although as GoodGym runners we all enjoy the 'fast but quick' mattress moving missions, the recent cold weather and with SWEP (severe weather emergency protocol) currently operating in Bristol, we were very mindful of how needed the shelter is at the moment for some of Bristol's most vulnerable people.
