The Speke & Garston Coastal Reserve is 70 acres of land stretching from Garston Docks to Liverpool John Lennon Airport on the banks of the Mersey Estuary. With panoramic views across the estuary, it's a great location for a trail run.
Following a brisk warm-up, we'll enjoy a run around the coastal reserve. As the location is also home to the old airport runway, if conditions are dry, we can also do a few fun sprint drills in a perfectly straight line! In total, expect to run between 5k - 8km.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This is a multi-terrain run which includes concrete, muddy trails and sand. If there has been rain within 72 hours of the run, trail shoes or trainers with a very good grip are recommended.
Due to covid-19 guidelines we will be a group of maximum 6 people and will maintain our distance throughout. As this is such a limited opportunity, please only sign-up if you are certain you will take part. If you sign-up then something changes, please click to say that you can no longer take part so that someone else is able to take your place.
Parking is quite limited but the early start should ensure that we all get a spot.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at the Hope Street Hotel, and the Hope Street Hotel and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages.
Come to the hotel entrance. Ask reception where to meet us if you can't see anyone in a red t-shirt.

Due to the new national lockdown, it won't be possible to run this session. I'm sorry! :(

I'll post some solo challenges and other ideas to the main Liverpool happenings page within the next few days.
Until then, keep running!
