On a cold evening in Norwich, Grapes Hill Community Garden required the help of brave volunteers to distribute leaflets to local residents and promote an upcoming 'Nature in the Garden' event. It was important to promote the event soon with it taking place in nine days. Who would be brave enough to accept this challenge? Two Goodgymers rose to the challenge... Step forward Jonathan and Kathryn.

Rosie was there to greet the two Goodgymers. Whilst waiting to see if any other Goodgymers were joining, we were lucky to be given an intimate tour of the garden. Rosie shared her raised bed with us, proudly showing off her tomatoes and butternut squash. Rosie was also kind enough to offer raspberries as well as any other fruits in the garden for the two Goodgymers to take with them on their journey/run back home. One highlight of the tour was being shown an unusual plant in the garden, otherwise known by the nickname of 'Monkey Butt'. It was easy to see why it was given that name by it's appearance.

With the tour over, Kathryn was keen to crack on with the task, and with that we were given the flyers and were off! Tactics were discussed to tackle the task, however it was settled that both stick together. One local resident was sceptical of us delivering flyers to houses, concerned that we were trying to sell something, however after describing what the 'Nature in the Garden' event was about, he suddenly seemed quite intrigued, even wanting a few flyers himself to distribute to his neighbours.

With all the flyers distributed, the evening getting darker and managing to avoid injury from a few snappy and sharp letter plates, the task was completed. Hopefully many residents will visit the garden event as it certainly sounds amazing!

Credit to Kathryn who suggested the pun title!
