Refugee Family Support Project

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

Family Refugee Support Project is a vital small charity, based in Liverpool 8.

The clocks go back on 25 October so let's make the most of lighter evenings with two sessions this week (Monday and Thursday) in FRSP's lovely little community garden.

Task details are TBC but will probably involve gardening, clearing, digging, shifting things with wheelbarrows, weeding etc.

This is a drop-in session running from 5pm - 7pm, so come for the full 2 hours or just pop in for 45 minutes.

Important note: The garden is quite tight in places so please remember to practice social distancing at all times. It is vital that you bring your own gloves and if you wish, wear a mask. As it is starting to get dark quite early, a head torch could also come in handy. As usual, dress for the weather and keep in mind that this could be a dirty task, so don't wear your best kit!

As we currently need to limit numbers, please only sign-up if you are sure you can attend. If your plans change last minute or you are sick, please let us know ASAP so that we can try to find other volunteers. No-shows let down task owners and our team. Thanks for your understanding :)

Sign-up now!

Location: The garden is located next to Toxteth Reservoir on High Park Street. With Tesco to your back, to the right of Toxteth Town Hall, there is a big stone wall (the reservoir). Follow the wall and just before Mount Carmel Church you should come across a small gate. The garden is beyond the gate.

How are you getting there?

It was agreed with the Task Manager that it is not safe to bring volunteer groups into the garden during the current lockdown. We will aim to go to the garden once things have improved in Liverpool.

Sorry to disappoint. Going forward, we will only be listing urgent/essential Community Missions, in order to protect our team.

Thanks for your understanding,

Char
