Who this task will support
Sustainable Merton
As Merton's local environmental charity, we aim to inspire, mobilise and enable our community to take action on climate change and protect our environment for future generations. Sustainability and wellbeing go hand in hand, so our projects address both environmental and social goals, such as addressing the cost of living crisis and strengthening community connections. We believe that a happier, healthier, more connected community is one that will have the greatest impact.

Merton Pride is taking place on Saturday 30th August 2025, a historic first for our borough. Goodgym will be helping with the pack down of stalls in Morden Hall after the parade but first we will be joining the parade and supporting Sustainable Merton to help with litter picking along the way.

Meet the Sustainable Merton team and volunteers outside their office - The Old Boiler House in Morden Hall Park at 12.30pm (just around the corner from the garden centre and Potting Shed cafe) to collect a litter picker and join their section of the parade. Note that the parade takes place between 1-2pm and the route will be from Morden Hall Park to Abbey Mills.

Any GoodGym members helping to pack down stalls (sign up here if interested: https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/help-pack-down-stalls-in-morden-hall-after-the-parade) may have to drop from the parade a little early, so keep an eye on the rest of the team if you are joining us.

Join the event at Merton Abbey Mills bandstand afterwards for an unforgettable celebration of music, live performances, and cultural showcases that capture the vibrant spirit and rich diversity of Merton!
