The station manager and Liz from Friends of Raynes Park station will meet with the team to go through an induction and SWR training at the station to ensure everyone is adequately briefed on health and safety matters relating to supporting as a volunteer in the area around the station, platforms and embankment.

Please meet Liz (who will be wearing a pink hi-vis SWR jacket) outside the station entrance on the Approach Road side (NOT the Starbucks side) just before 7.30pm, so that you can be escorted up to the platform.

You may want to bring a notepad/pen to take notes. There will be a short Q & A session at the end. The summary of the HOT and WHAT protocols which is the basis of the Security Briefing will be sent to you directly ahead of the session - if you are able to read this in advance it will help.

Points to note - There are very strict rules in place about alcohol and drug consumption. If consumption has taken place within the last 12 hours, volunteers are not permitted onto the railway premises. - Suitable clothing is required e.g. enclosed shoes (no sandals), trousers (no shorts), long sleeves preferred and obviously no high heels, swimwear, dangling jewellery, skate boards, scooters etc. - Do bring glasses if you wear them, long and short distance in case you have to enter a code to open a door or to see a train coming down the track from a distance. We also ask volunteers to wear their hearing aids.

NOTE that our next session helping Friends of Raynes Park station after the induction will be on 27th April between 7-8pm and to access the platform the induction and SWR training must be completed. If you cannot make the training session do not worry as there will be jobs that do no require access to the platform when we support Friends of Raynes Park station or we can arrange further training sessions if needed.

Do sign up to the session on the 27th April if you can make it along after completing the training: https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/help-friends-of-raynes-park-station-with-moving-compost-ee5e966b-365c-4536-8ff4-eaffd3e5d078
