Wednesday night is GoodGym night and this week we are doing good and getting fit at Oaken Grove! If you liked pond dipping (or playing with mud?) as a child, then this is the session for you...If you're really keen, you might even get to don some waders and dip yourself in the pond! We may even be in for a huge treat and have access to a "sludge sucker"!

This is a Community Mission so we meet at the task location, Oaken Grove Park (by the pond at Nicholas Winton Memorial Garden). Some GoodGymers may also run, walk or cycle together to and from the task. Scroll up to the 'Getting there' part of the listing to see if anyone has added details of their active travel, and let them know if you plan to join.

At the park, we'll meet up with volunteers from Wild Maidenhead and help the RBWM parks team to clear sludge from the pond, as well as litter picking and weeding. There will be a chance for 2 or 3 of us to wade in the pond (waders and all equipment will be provided, but please bring your own gloves and headtorches as we will lose light by 8pm), but if that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then don't worry as there will also be plenty of work to do on dry ground. Dealing with all that sludge is likely to get messy, so maybe don't wear your white shorts or plan a hot date in a smart restaurant for straight after!

Can't wait to see you there!

Incorrectly set up as a group run and not a CM

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.
