Help collect food at Brixton People's Kitchen

Ever wondered what the inside of the UK's largest wholesale fruit and vegetable market looks like? Well this Wednesday morning is your opportunity to find out, boot-camp style!

You can provide a very valuable contribution to the work of a local community project - the Brixton People's Kitchen - by helping them to collect fresh fruit and veg that would be thrown away from the New Covent Garden Market and take it to Myatt's Fields Park Depot Kitchen so that it can be cooked up by the local community into a free meal on Sunday.

If you're in, the meeting point is 8.15am in front of Sainsburys Local, 62 Wandsworth Road, SW8 2LF (not far from Vauxhall). Sylvie will meet you there and you can call or text her on 07466653761. If you have a big rucksack or a trolley please bring that along. We will finish at Myatt's Fields Park by 9.15am at the latest - it's up to you whether you run from the market to Myatt's Field park with your back-pack or trolley or walk or cycle!
