Our group sessions are open to everyone - if you're new to GoodGym please sign up and come along - we are inclusive and friendly, and we'll be pleased to see you!! All GoodGym B&D sessions hstart with an optional run / walk (more details below)

After more than 10 sessions last year, we're returning to carry on our vital work helping getting the garden ready to welcome the community.

๐Ÿงค What Weโ€™ll Do

  • Preparing the ground at rear of garden for a polytunnel installation

  • Collecting and removing rubbish

  • Weeding

No gardening experience needed! All tools and guidance will be provided on the day.

๐Ÿ•• Timings

  • 1.45pm - optional - meet outside Becontree station for an optional 1-mile run or walk (or bit of both!) around Parsloes Park.

  • 2pm - arrive at Gale Street Organic Community Garden for introduction & safety briefing.

  • 2:05 โ€“2.55 โ€“ Task time!

  • 2.55 โ€“ 3pm โ€“ Wrap-up and high fives

  • 3pm โ€“ Finish

๐ŸŒž Why It Matters

Making the garden safe and accessible is key to getting ready to host a programme of well being activities for local residents.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Who Youโ€™ll Meet

  • Breda, the heart of the garden and longtime community lead
  • Nassaba, from Elevate Together, whoโ€™ll guide us through the task and provide safety tips

Come along for a relaxed and friendly evening of volunteering โ€“ no experience needed, just bring your energy and community spirit!

I hope to see you there!!

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 0km and 2km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
