Conservation work at Warnham Green

A small group of volunteers (including me!) are starting work to improve biodiversity at a small green in North Finchley. We've litter picked there before, but now they need some serious labour - digging brambles, raking soil, cutting and coppicing trees.

It may be muddy, it will be brambly, and there's a lot to do, so hopefully this will be the first of a few sessions. We're trying to do as much as possible before the brambles and nettles choke out things that might be dormant in the soil and ready to emerge in spring.

We'll have some tools, but bring sturdy gloves if you have them.
