Cleaning up Littleover for The Great Big Green Week

Join us to prepare for The Great Big Green Week, the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. Every year, people come together to unleash a wave of support for action to protect the planet.

Ahead of The Great Big Green Week (8th to 16th June) we'll be litter picking in Littleover as we've been approached by the team organising some community events for the awareness week.

During this litter picking session we'll be trialling a route for a group run that's taking place a week later. We'll be walking for this litter picking session and will take on a route that leads us back to the starting location.

The Great Big Green Week is an opportunity for local residents to engage with nature, environmental issues or a new sustainable activity and also provides the chance for local groups and clubs to showcase what they offer for people wanting to join in.

Please wear some protective gloves (gardening ones are ideal). We will be in well lit areas within residential streets at all times.

Please sign up if you're planning to attend and also remove yourself from the register if you can no longer make it - so I know who to look out for and don't leave without anyone. This is also important so I know how many litter pickers/hoops to bring along.

We're meeting at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start and will return to the start location by 8pm.
