Barnet Community HarvestersVolunteers from the Friends of St Joseph's Orchard in Mill Hill have done a few big apple picks this year, but there are thousands more apples ripening on the trees, ready for picking. The Friends of group care for around 250 trees aged between 50-150 years old. It's an incredible green space, and without them, all that fresh food would be going to waste.
They are inviting foodbanks and similar community projects to come and take what they can for storing and sharing. Goodgym are helping, along with volunteers from the Barnet Community Harvesters to gather fruit from the orchard.
There's security at the gates, so please sign up here so they know you're coming. Goodgym is free to join (but you may get some welcome emails).
Make your own way to the meeting point - run, walk or cycle. We'll meet at the entrance gates of St. Joseph's flats on Holborn Close off Lawrence Street - here is the w3w link.
You don't have to stay for the whole event (up to 4hrs), but if you can spare an hour or two it will be a great boost to their picking powers!
How are you getting there?
