5 of us arrived on a hot day to pick and pack for Frenford FoodBank. We are all experienced in this task at these premises so (to stop us zoning out) lively music was put on to keep our spirits up and ice lollies provided to keep our temperatures down. These measures went down well with both the goodgym and the Frenford volunteers so we sang and danced our way together through the session and finished early with a little time for social chit chat afterwards.
47 people will be a little better off for our efforts today. 🥳🥳

A lovely session this morning to plant our colourful geraniums, petunias and bizzy lizzies
Lovely to speak to some locals, one of which let me know that yesterday council watered all the planters (I was wondering why they were all wet and who watered them)! this meant we could take it easy and only had to fill cans twice to water newly plants flowers!
Feels good to contribute to a bit of greenery where there wouldn't be any otherwise!

It took two attempts to get this mission started due to Central Line works last week. It definitely took two of us to shift the extremely heavy bed for Mrs S. And it will take two missions to complete the task of setting up the wardrobe and organising her books.
Such a hot day we were exhausted before we started. Louise arrived particularly drained from a long journey and an arduous mission the night before but a little rest and a lot of water later she was her usual force of energy and we soon got on with inching that big old bed and old carpet round the room,
Mrs S seemed pleased with what we managed to do and even gave us a cold drink and a bunch of flowers each at the end but she really needs another visit to finish the job.
