Last night, the two of us grabbed the rollers and brushes and finished up in the scout hut kitchen with a final coat of paint 🎨

I laced up my trainers to run to the scout hut whilst Imogen buckled up her helmet to cycle there. We had some great tunes going whilst we chatted away, getting the task done pretty quickly between the two of us! 🎶

We will return to the scout hut in the near future for other non-painting related tasks so keep your eyes peeled for the next group run task! There is also a community mission on Tuesday morning if anyone fancies joining at Oak Wood nursery 🧹🍂

The three of us tonight headed to our usual Thursday scout group task to grab the paint rollers again!

This time we were tackling the kitchen with a fresh lick of paint, reaching high and low to get to the tricky bits... hence the ladder!

Leanne and I ran from the waterfront meeting point, where we met Prakash at the hut who cycled. A chilly evening but we soon warmed up once we got going! 🥶

It was good to be back at Little Learners!

The two of us were met by Anne this morning to show us what needed doing this time round at the nursery - ripping down all of their big cardboard boxes to go in the recycling bin and sweeping up another part of the nursery garden. It was great to welcome Emily to her first GoodGym session this morning - thanks for coming!

We had a great time chatting away, ripping apart those boxes 📦 which was pretty satisfying! Then, a quick clear up with the brooms to clear some debris and that section of the garden was looking clear and tidy. A successful morning at the nursery 🧹✅

Next up - group run on Thursday 👟

The trusty trio headed back to the scout hut to grab the paintbrushes & rollers 🫟

Myself, Imogen and Prakash teamed up to tackle the scout hall walls with a second coat of paint this evening. A lot of progress was made between the three of us and we've almost finished with the painting of the hall!

The Terrific (or Terrible - depending on who you ask) Two hit the ground running this morning with a trip to the People's Community Garden allotments. 🌳

First up, well done Tia for your first GoodGym session! Lovely to have you join.

The sun was out and we ran 2.5k to the allotment ☀ where we were met by Phoebe who greeted us and got us started with our job for the morning. We got our gloves on and grabbed the shovels to get stuck in with sieving the compost heap into a wheelbarrow to use for the gardens. Amongst the soil, we found many different creatures - one pictured with Tia in which she was proud to show off 🪱

We managed to fill up several wheelbarrow loads in our hour there so it was a successful morning! Finishing off with a run home through the park in the sun 👟

40mph+ winds accompanied us on our group run tonight but it didn't put us off! Myself (Natasha), Leanne & Miles met at the University and battled through the wind to run to the scout hut, where we met Prakash who got blown by the wind on his bike! 🚲

We targeted the second half of the scout hut tonight with paint, where we had got up to last week. We even had some tunes to keep us going, courtesy of Miles 🎶
