It was good to be back after the heatwave caused us to cancel last week! And we were headed to a new task โ˜€

In typical Thursday group run style, the three of us - myself, Leanne and Miles met at the Uni building. This week, we were headed somewhere new so we took to Bishop's Hill and headed to Murrayside Community Centre โ˜€.

When we arrived, we were met by Martin who showed us around and explained the projects he was working on in the outside garden area ๐ŸŒณ. We soon got cracking with watering plants & grabbing the shovels to tackle a big mound of dirt to even out the area, which was to eventually be laid with astro turf ๐Ÿช๐ŸŒฑ. After an hour's work, we were pretty pleased with how much we had done! Then headed home on a warm sunny Thursday ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ.

Murrayside is a busy, welcoming community centre in the heart of south-east Ipswich. They offer low-cost and free activities for all ages - from sports and fitness to woodworking, youth clubs, social groups, cooking classes and more. People come here to get active, learn new skills, meet others, build confidence or just enjoy a friendly chat over coffee.
