Thursday 7th May

Thursday evening has rolled around again and the 3 of us were back at the scout hut!
Myself, Miles and Leanne met at the waterfront ready to run and made our way up the ol' favourite Back Hamlet hill towards the scout hut.
Today's task involved painting again (which we now have great skills in from painting the hall!), but this time we were outside painting the fences surrounding the hut. An hour later and we had made a good dent in the fence and it was looking fresher than ever ๐๐ป, with some of us covered in a few more paint splatters than others! ๐ซ
We then headed home, accompanied by a beautiful sunset on a lovely clear evening ๐ . We will be back to finish the fencing so why not join us on our next one?

The lighter evenings are here to stay, so off we went back to the scout hut for an outside task!
This evening, the two of us met at the waterfront and made our way to the 31st/9th Scout hut, running in the bright sunshine โ.
It was quite an easy and short task tonight, where we tackled some weeding around the outside of the scout hut ๐. It's nice to be able to do outside jobs now that the weather is nicer and the evenings are brighter!

Tonight's task agenda - the Midnight Walk! ๐
The three of us met at the University and headed along the scenic waterfront on our route to Christchurch Park ๐ณ.
We picked up the leaflets and made our way around the perimeter of the park, posting leaflets to all the residents who live on the outskirts of the park to inform them about St Elizabeth Hospice's Midnight Walk in May. The walk is starting in the park so it was important for us to target those houses who may hear any noise from the event so they were aware ๐๏ธ.
After a few dogs barking at doors & some smiles at Ring doorbells, we had successfully leafletted our way through the roads around the park โ .
Great job team & congrats to Leanne on 10 good deeds โค!

Back at Oak Wood nursery on a sunny Tuesday morning โ
The three of us met at the waterfront to run to Oak Wood, up the longgg incline of Bishop's Hill ๐ง.
We were greeted by Anne at the nursery who showed us to the main nursery outside area, where we swept up all leaves and debris around the play equipment ๐. After clearing this, we headed to the nursery allotment area to do some de-weeding which was done pretty quickly with 4 pairs of hands! ๐ฑ
An enjoyable morning had by all, where we chatted and laughed away whilst completing today's community mission. Thanks to Tia and Kirsty for coming along! โบ

A new venue was attended to this morning... Oak Wood nursery โบ
Myself & Princess met at the nursery where we were greeted & welcomed into the nursery garden. It was our job to clear the garden pathway which is used by parents & children to reach the Forest school, so an important path to keep clear, tidy and accessible.
We got the brooms & litter pickers and got cracking to fill 7 bin bags of leaves, debris and rubbish! ๐ฑ๐งน Even had the sunshine for the duration of the session โ
A successful morning and it marked 10 good deeds done by me since starting GoodGym last month! โค It really is great to be a part of such a brilliant cause.
Look out for details of the next session coming soon! ๐

Last night, the two of us grabbed the rollers and brushes and finished up in the scout hut kitchen with a final coat of paint ๐จ
I laced up my trainers to run to the scout hut whilst Imogen buckled up her helmet to cycle there. We had some great tunes going whilst we chatted away, getting the task done pretty quickly between the two of us! ๐ถ
We will return to the scout hut in the near future for other non-painting related tasks so keep your eyes peeled for the next group run task! There is also a community mission on Tuesday morning if anyone fancies joining at Oak Wood nursery ๐งน๐
