GoodGym is a wonderful initiative. It combines three of the most powerful ways of uplifting your own wellbeing – exercising, socialising, and, above all, doing good for others

All of our tasks are fun, but this one really felt like we were having a clear and direct impact on those in need, and whilst packing the bags we could literally imagine a child opening their bag on Christmas Day.

Welcome to WWF x GoodGym’s Workout for Nature
From 7th April WWF and GoodGym are collaborating on hundreds of sessions to celebrate Earth Day. Each session will involve a Workout for Nature - a physical volunteering activity which will benefit local green spaces, and give your own wellbeing a boost. Simply sign up below and come along. No experience required!
The Sherwood Clean Champions hold their monthly litter pick on the second Saturday of each month, and we plan to go along and help them out on Saturday 12th April 2025.
For this task we will be litter picking around Carrington and the Sherwood Rise area (depending on numbers we may also venture elsewhere near to Carrington/Sherwood).
🧤 Pickers and bags will be provided but you may want to bring some gardening gloves along just in case.
📍 Meet at the Pirate Play Park cap park on Mansfield Road, Carrington
⏰ Meet at 10.40am and the task will last around an hour.
There may not be a member of the GoodGym TaskForce at this session, but Rob from the Sherwood Clean Champions will meet you, brief you and give out the equipment.

GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
