About the task

ℹ️ Summary

Given the fading light, this week we plan to meet directly in Norman Park – rather than at The Pavilion in the town centre – for an optional run or walk around the park before lending a hand to tend to the micro-forest.

  • Help us revive this fledging micro-forest in Norman Park
  • Meet at the micro-forest by the Hook Farm Road Car Park at 18:00
  • Area Activator Sam will lead a warm-up then gentle run round the park
  • There will also be an optional walking group
  • At 18:30 we'll return to the micro-forest to help with watering and weeding
  • After approx 45 min we'll wrap up with another optional run or walk

Most kit will be provided but please bring gardening gloves if you have them to hand. There we will support with watering, weeding, planting and tending to the fledgling micro forest.

☕️ Post-Run Refreshments

Open to options if anyone fancies a post-run refreshment at one of the nearby establishments. If heading back to Bromley town centre, The Railway Tavern by Bromley North station has said we are welcome. It'd be lovely if you can join us.

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run, with the option of walking too. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run or walk to the task together. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Sam Rider - Bromley Area Activator (he/him) by email at samrider@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 2km and 4km in total.

Remember that we will be running or walking to and from the task, so you'll only be running or walking for half this distance in one go.

GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
