GoodGym is a wonderful initiative. It combines three of the most powerful ways of uplifting your own wellbeing – exercising, socialising, and, above all, doing good for others
Professor Lord Richard
All of our tasks are fun, but this one really felt like we were having a clear and direct impact on those in need, and whilst packing the bags we could literally imagine a child opening their bag on Christmas Day.

Passionate about helping others and the local area, and trying to stay fit! Enjoys GoodGym tourism
You don't need to commit for the full session duration, pop in for as little, or as long as you can!
Reading Family Hubs are being set up to provide a space to welcome all families and provide a wide range of services to give children the best start in life.
To make these locations more welcoming, GoodGym have been asked to help with sprucing up the centres with some painting!
The main priority areas at South Reading Community Centre to paint are the corridor and toilets for this session.
All the tools and equipment will be provided by Reading Council, and we'll have access to the toilets and kitchen in the building. There is a cafe by the centre too.
No painting experience required, and we dont plan to make a mess, but please dont wear your best gear!
Our children’s centres welcome all families and provide a wide range of services to give children the best start in life.

This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.

GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
