For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
This is our regular volunteering session with Eltham junior parkrun. 🏃♀️🏃♂️
Please request a role on the parkrun roster before you sign up for this task - scroll down 👇 to see the full instructions.
Come and cheer on the young runners to get them fired up and charging around the 2km course. There are plenty of roles to choose from, including marshaling, barcode scanning, handing out finish tokens and tail walking. No prior experience needed and you don't need to be a runner. Just bring your best cheering, clapping and encouragement-giving skills!
You'll get a parkrun volunteer credit AND a GoodGym good deed after you've attended!
📍 Meeting point
Meet next to the café in Eltham Park South. The nearest postcode is SE9 1AN. Your contact is the Run Director wearing a blue hi-vis jacket.
🙋♀️🙋♂️How to volunteer
It looks a bit complicated at first but don't be put off, it's not tricky:
If you don't already have a parkrun ID register for free at https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register.
Check which roles still need filling here: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/eltham-juniors/futureroster/. Click on the role you're interested in to find out what's involved. Even if the roster looks full, the organisers are usually happy to have extra helpers so contact them anyway.
Email elthamjuniors@parkrun.com using the template below to let them know the date and role that you want to volunteer for. They will reply to confirm you have been added to the roster.
