For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
The Morden Family Funday is an annual event bringing together numerous charities and local organisations. The event takes place in Morden Park on the Sports Playing Fields (opposite the Mosque).
The organisers have requested a bit of GoodGym muscle to help with setting up and overseeing the tables and chairs that need to be allocated to the bar, food court, marquee and stall holder areas. Bring gloves if you have these, and ensure you are prepared for the weather (hat and suncream if it's hot, and a bottle of water). The area is grassy and covered toes are recommended given we will be moving tables/chairs.
We will be meeting Andy onsite at 7am - there are two pedestrian entrances on London Road (A24), one opposite the mosque and another at the traffic lights just before Merton College. The exact meeting location and any further details will be emailed to sign ups a day or two before.
Do consider coming back to help with the pack away (https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/help-with-clearing-away-the-morden-family-fun-day) later in the day, the event takes place between 10am and 5pm so do why not bringing your friends and family along to enjoy it.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
