Empathy Souls are hosting a Cancer ‘Speak Easy’ event at ActOne Cinema in Acton to raise cancer awareness and provide resources about dealing with cancer symptoms for marginalised members of the community.
Empathy Souls is a community interest company focused on the education, empowerment, and development of the global Black African Caribbean community through various programs, resources, and workshops. As a social enterprise, their profits are reinvested into the community, reinforcing their commitment to transparency and social impact.
✔️ What is the task?
- Meet and greet participants
- Support the completion of surveys to gather important data on the local community and their experience with cancer
- Support with sharing of refreshments and circulation of goodie bags.
- Signpost individual to connect with relevant services (briefing will be provided)

This task supports
Day focused on early detection and prevention of cancer
We are holding a free event on 26th September in association with The Eve Appeal and Royal Marsden Partners. Between the hours of 10-4pm we will be facilitating sessions on gynae cancers and the full cancer screening programs in addition to providing nutritional snacks and refreshments. We will also provide a goodie bag for all participants. This will be a very interactive session open to men and women who want to focus on early detection and prevention to save lives
