Getting there

For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!

    About this session

We’re looking for confident, friendly volunteers to join us for a supermarket collection at Waitrose, Westfield, Shepherds Bush on Wednesday 9 September.

You can choose from one of two shifts: *10am–1pm or *1pm–4pm and we require up to 6 volunteers per shift.

    What will you be doing?

You’ll be the friendly face of Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank in store, helping us encourage customers to support local people facing food insecurity.

    Your role will include:

Handing out leaflets and chatting to customers about our work Encouraging customers to donate an item or two from our shopping list Collecting and sorting food donations as they come in Helping to stack and organise donated food

No previous experience is needed – just a friendly, confident approach and a willingness to get stuck in!

Every donation you help collect will go towards providing vital food support to people and families across Hammersmith & Fulham.

Come and volunteer with us – your few hours could help fill a foodbank shelf and make a real difference to someone in our community.

    What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
