Getting there
For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
About this session
The Doddington community garden have started a kids club every Thursday afternoon. The idea is to help local kids enjoy the garden, learn about growing food, and spend some time outside.
The jobs will include making and serving pizzas and fruit salads to the kids, setting up and putting away tables and tidying up. There will even be a chance to use the outside pizza oven on the rooftop when the warmer days arrive!
The kids club will take place on the rooftop garden (up the metal stairs on the square behind Tescos) unless the weather is bad when it'll be held in the building underneath the garden.
This is a great opportunity to get involved, either regularly or on an ad hoc basis, with a community organisation that will make a big difference in local children's lives. The session is from 4-6pm but if you can only spare an hour or so it'll be appreciated!
