About this session

ℹ️ Summary

Meet at The Pavilion by MyTime Active in The Glades at 18:30 for intros and a quick warm-up. At 18:45 Area Activator Sam will lead a gentle 1.5K loop to arrive at Bromley Palace Park at 19:00 to help the Friends Of volunteers maintain this hidden gem. We'll wrap up at 19:45 for a light jog back to base.

For the run, all paces are welcome. Nobody will get left behind. We'll have back markers and an optional walking group if you'd prefer to go slow.

This task will run from roughly 18:30 to 20:00 on Monday 7th September

Location: By St Blaise’s Well inside the park, accessible from Rochester Avenue across the car park Google Maps: St Blaise’s Well, near the lake, Civic Centre, Bromley BR1 3DJ What3Words: ///sudden.banana.dunes

Mytime Active have kindly said we can leave belongings in lockers at The Pavilion and there are toilet facilities on site, plus the cafe for water, etc.

🌱 Get Ready For The Task

Most kit will be provided but please bring gardening gloves if you have them. Dawn from the Friends of Bromley Palace Park and fellow volunteers will be on hand to direct us with watering, weeding and general upkeep of the park.

☕️ Post-Run Refreshments

The Railway Tavern by Bromley North station has said we are welcome for post-run refreshments. It's an eight minute stroll from The Pavilion and it'd be lovely if you can join us.

What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run, with the option of walking too. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run or walk to the task together. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Sam Rider - Bromley Area Activator (he/him) by email at samrider@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 3km and 5km in total.

Remember that we will be running or walking to and from the task, so you'll only be running or walking for half this distance in one go.
