For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
St Paul's church in the Jewellery Quarter have requested our help with their annual fete.
It’s a community event and they also fundraise for Raise the Roof, their campaign to fund essential repairs to the roof of the grade I listed building.
Its completely organised and supported by volunteers and a few local sponsors
Setting up trestle tables and chairs and hanging bunting. Then throughout the day litter picking, manning the bouncy castle and a golf putting activity for which we charge people a small amount to take part. And the end of the fete, taking everything back down and tidying up.
They need help from 8am-6pm, but anytime you can lend will be appreciated, if you can do 1 hour that would be great :)
5pm - 6pm they need as many volunteers as possible to help clear up, so feel free just to come for that period.
If you would like to help out, please sign up and email Jonny at jonny@goodgym.org so I can let Claudine at the church know what time you'll be available from and till.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
