For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
Start your Tuesday with purpose by helping the Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank team get ready for a busy day of service at St Matthew’s Church. This is a short but impactful session where your help really matters. 💪
You’ll be part of a small GoodGym crew assisting with:
🪑 Setting up tables and chairs
📦 Unloading food crates from the van
🧃 Organising food stock in the church’s packing area
It’s a physical, rewarding task that helps the foodbank serve hundreds of local people every week. 💚 You’ll be done before 10am — and it’s a great way to start the day knowing you’ve made a difference.
📍 Where: St Matthew’s Church, Wandsworth Bridge Road, London, SW6 2TX
🕘 When: Tuesdays, 9:15am–10:00am
👟 Runners needed: Up to 4
📧 Questions?: Contact Orla at volunteer@hammersmithfulham.foodbank.org.uk
Important Notes:
Please arrive via the back door of the church (just off Rosebury Road)
On arrival, ask for Sian or Frank, the volunteer supervisors
Use safe manual handling techniques
You may see foodbank clients outside, but you won’t be required to interact with them unless you’re registered with the foodbank
No direct support for clients is expected during this task
Let’s lift, shift, and get the space ready — your help makes a huge difference! 🚛✨
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
