Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A fortnight ago three GoodGym veterans did a great job in lovely sunshine clearing six bags of rubbish from the garden to help Vincent.
The garden now needed weeding and clearing: a typical GoodGym mission. And it was time for typical British weather.
Just one day after missioning together in glorious sunshine Beth, Sarah and I met at noon on Sunday under ominously grey skies. The rain was inevitable but this didn't faze us: we pruned, pulled and uprooted anything in sight and had a canine companion to keep us company.
Over the course of an hour or so we discussed GoodGym coaching, the various Bournemouth races in six weeks' time and the Great British Bake Off.
Also the drizzle had progressed to a shower to a downpour. By this time we had filled seven bags of green waste so it was a good time to stop and seek cover.
Thankfully our lovely hosts offered us some respite indoors and mugs of tea as a gesture of gratitude which went down a treat with Sarah's wholesome banana muffins.
After our break the rain had eased and we set off on our separate ways home to seek shelter and hot showers and enjoy the rest of the day.
